Lisa Youngblood Hall – Board Chair
Director of Communications
Northshore School District
Lisa Youngblood Hall is the director of communications for the Northshore School District where she also serves as a Cabinet member contributing the strategic direction of the education of 23,000 K-12 students.
​
Prior to her work with Northshore, she was director of media relations and communications with the University of Washington Bothell. While there, she served on the Chancellor’s Cabinet, the Advancement and External Relations Leadership Team, the Diversity Council, the Community Engagement Council and the annual Equity and Inclusion Conference planning committee.
Before working at UW Bothell, Lisa was a producer at KING5, director of Marketing and Communications for Child Advocates of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties and an associate producer for the Oprah Winfrey Show – an experience that changed the way she looks at the world and serving her community.

Lisa is committed to investing her talents in improving her local and global communities. She volunteered as communications director for Mount Zion Baptist Church. She also served as program chair for Jack and Jill of America North Puget Sound and served on several committees in that organization’s Seattle Chapter.

In addition, Lisa was president of the Seattle Association of Black Journalists for several years and a board member of Child Advocates (prior to being asked to join the staff). She and her husband, Henry, are the parents of two daughters, Gabrielle who is an educator beginning graduate school at Howard University, and Sophia, a rising sophomore at Yale University.
