Jen Hamilton

Jen Hamilton is a proud NorCal native turned Seattle transplant. She is the lucky life partner of a kind and charming data scientist, the bio mama to three adult kiddos, and the unofficially adopted mama/auntie/listening ear to handfulls more. Every member of her family lives on both the rainbow and mental health spectrums, which informs how she moves through the world and the lens she brings to her work.

After earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development, Jen spent more than a decade in Early Childhood Education while raising her own babes, knowing that someday, birthwork would come calling. Jen is a trained full-spectrum doula, a certified birth doula, a certified postpartum doula, and a certified lactation educator.

In addition to running her own practice, she has worked since 2016 as a birth doula for Open Arms Perinatal Services, has co-chaired the Northwest Doula Conference twice, and has served on the board for PALS Doulas since 2018. She is over the moon to have joined The Perfect Push as the Director of Doula Support in 2020. When she is not supporting families through transitions, you can find her: tending to her home zoo (dogs, cat, chickens, snake, fish, and whoever else snuck in when she wasn’t looking); doing the New York Times crossword; singing along to her favorite music; traveling!; enjoying a sip of coffee, beer, or bourbon; and working to dismantle the oppressive systems that uphold white supremacy within ourselves and the wider world.
